MSIC drug checking research project
We're working with Uniting NSW.ACT to run a drug checking research project at Sydney's Medically Supervised Injecting Centre (MSIC) in Kings Cross. The project will assess the potential utility of a drug checking service in this setting, and will provide access to valuable information about the local illicit drug market.
Participation is open to registered MSIC clients, who can submit samples for testing on Monday afternoons for a limited time.
This project is led by The Loop Australia's Clinical Lead Dr Robert Page, is supported by seed funding from NCCRED, and involves collaborators from UNSW Sydney, Monash University, NSW Forensic and Analytical Science Services, University of Sydney, and University of Liverpool.
